PHOTOSHOP
Face SwapFor this project we had to either take a picture of two people and swap their faces, or choose a picture of you and someone else, and switch faces. I chose to take a picture of my friend and me, then swap our faces. The goal of this project was to use Adobe Photoshop to make a pristine selection of the faces, merge them onto the body, and make the swap look realistic and match the skin color of the face to the body using tools such as adjustment layers, color correction, hue/saturation, and shading. When the colors matched very well, I merged the layers together and afterward used tools such as the healing brush, blur tool, sponge, smudge, patch tool, and clone tool to fix any small marks that looked unrealistic. Overall, I fixed and executed a seamless transition so it looked like my face really looked like it was originally on that body.

Batman
On this project I used a Wacom tablet that was plugged into the computer to create a hand-drawn sketch of batman. This was my first time using a pen tablet to create something on Photoshop and although it was quite difficult at the beginning, I adapted and got used to it with time. I began with opening the original sketch of batman on Adobe Photoshop and decreased the opacity. Then, I added a new color layer and put it directly below the watermarked picture layer. Next I began sketching over the original batman picture with the tablet and its stylus. I carefully sketched the picture zooming in and out as much as needed throughout the project using a 1-2 pixel brush. I occasionally would check my work by turning off the watermark layer of the original Batman and cleaned up any edges or filled in some parts that needed the extra work until I was satisfied with my drawing. To finish the project I filled in my drawing with colors that were appealing to me and that I thought would best match the theme of Batman.

Window
This image was edited to bring out certain parts of the image on Adobe Photoshop. This assignment was an introduction to editing tools within Photoshop. We were given a photo to start with that was dark, tilted, and discolored. In need of editing and fixing, I used tools such as shadow/highlight, dodge tool, sponge tool, saturation, auto color and the ruler tool to correct and improve this photograph. Overall during this project, I learned how to do selections by color, how to use the stamp tool, and how to alter the color of one thing to another specific color.

Selections Collage
For this assignment, I was provided a sheet with all these objects scattered across the sheet and the goal was to use the selection tool to cut out all objects and place them as the picture provided showed. First, using the selection tool I selected the blue number five and moved it to the upper left corner of the collage. After, I carefully selected the water lily and moved it to the bottom right. After that, we had to select the black oval and move it to the center of the book. Then we had to select the globe, invert the colors and make smaller duplicates. The fountain pen had to be selected, and then rotated to be just on the lower left corner of the book. Lastly, we had to select the padlock and simply place it in the center of the black oval.

Maria and Jay at the Play
This project was an introduction to using editing tools on Adobe Photoshop such as: red-eye tool, auto color/contrast, smart filters, blur tool, and more. The ultimate goal of this was to eliminate small blemishes on two peoples faces, but make them look natural. Some things we had to fix were to remove laugh lines, whiten teeth, fix red-eyes, remove wrinkles, and any other facial blemishes. This assignment was one of the first in using Photoshop to fix all blemishes. At first, it was very difficult trying to make it look as natural as possible, but the more you got into the assignment, the easier it got.
